They allow you to search for players and gamemasters via location, game played, gaming style, genre favored, and other parameters. There are also online gaming options including free sub-forums for play-by-post games with the gamemaster being made a mini-mod of said sub-forum, a chat application for live gaming, and a built-in dice roller for both forum-based and chat based games.

The Tangled Web - A community of Gamers that use Virtual Gaming Tables in addition to Play By Post gaming. There are always DMs looking for players at this site and they have a forum based die roller in addition to a nice character sheet storage facility.
